Picnic experiences are available during our trading hours — from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Guests are welcome to stay and enjoy their picnic throughout this time window.

At Historic Rivermill, we believe that some of life’s best moments happen when we slow down, gather together, and share a meal under the open sky. Our Rivermill Picnic Experience is a tribute to togetherness — thoughtfully created to foster connection, conversation, and appreciation for the stunning natural surrounds of Mount Nathan.

Each picnic basket is carefully prepared with high-quality ingredients, perfect for couples, friends, or small groups looking to reconnect. You’ll enjoy a generous spread of artisan cheeses, cured meats, house-made dips, fresh fruit, bakery treats and more — all set against the backdrop of our historic grounds and riverside views. 

We provide a picnic blanket and everything you need to relax in comfort. You are welcome to choose your favorite spot anywhere on our property — whether it’s by the river, beside our tranquil ponds, or nestled among trees and native wildlife.

Whether it’s a romantic date, a catch-up with friends, or a quiet moment to recharge, this picnic is more than a meal — it’s a shared experience, wrapped in the warmth of nature and community.
